Regarding the date and time that is showing in our chat forum, our site's server is set on Los Angeles time, even though our server is in our host's Dallas hub. The date and time will be Pacific Time Zone of the United States of America. However, if you would like the date and time zone to reflect the date and time where you are living, all you need to do is to make a simple adjustment in your profile. To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to the chat forum with your user name and password.
2. Click the Profile link on the menu at the top of the page.
3. Scroll down the page until you see: Time Offset:
4. Follow the instructions, which read as follows:
Number of hours +/- the current forum time to make the displayed time your local time
You will see that the current forum time is being displayed to your right, directly underneath the box, which is defaulted at 0, and should be empty as you first see it.
Example: If the current local time shows as 10:25:33pm (Dallas, Texas time), and you are in Los Angeles, you would type -1 in the empty box. New York City would be +1, and so forth.
5. Click the Change profile button. Your local time should now be showing at the top of the page & throughout the forum.
HINT: If you aren't sure what the time difference is from our server, and where you live, the fastest way to figure it out is to compare your own time with that of our server, which is at the top left hand corner of our chat forum. This should be compared before you make a change on your profile's page as described above. Keep in mind that you should also make a note of the server's date and the date where you are using your computer. Depending on how far you are from our server, this could make a difference in calculating the proper time.
So if are using your computer in Sydney, Australia, the time difference should be 17 hours ahead of the time of our server. As described above, you'd make a +17 adjustment on your profile page. If our server's time shows Jun 19th, 2003, 10:21am, then the time in Sydney, Australia would be Jun 20th, 2003, 3:21am.

After you've made the adjustment in your profile, check to see if your local date and time is correctly showing in the forum. If it's off, see what the difference is, and make another adjustment accordingly until you get it right. For future reference, you'll notice that before you log in to the chat forum with your username and password, our server's date and time will be displayed. However, after you have logged in, your local time will be showing.
